So I'm up late writing a paper and listening to my iTunes and a great song queued up. I thought it would make a great Rock Band song. Three Little Pigs by Green Jelly. It's a great song, and age appropriate.

What other One Hit Wonder songs would be fun?

Two Princes by Spin Doctors

or

Teenage Dirtbag by Wheatus (Although they have a lot of cool songs, sucks that they've only had one hit)

Hmmm, there are a lot of great possible one-hit wonders for this game. They'd have to be songs that work well for the game and still be recognizable by a relatively wide audience.

I'd like to see "In A Big Country" from Big Country in the game. You can't beat commanding that shimmering Scottish bagpipe riff along with the driving drums and bass in it. Fun song to sing along with, as well. They did release a ton more discs after the "The Crossing", but to most Americans, they are a one-hit wonder.

Or while you're at it, how about the Vapors "Turning Japanese" from the early 80's? "Mexican Radio" from Wall of Voodoo could be interesting to play on drums and guitar and it has some quirky lyrics. Ooh, or Icicle Works "Whisper To a Scream". Great bass, guitar and drums, and you get to moan your lyrics.

And, I'd be totally remiss if I left the 80's without suggesting Georgia Satellites, "Keep Your Hands To Yourself". I mean c'mon that song was made for this game. Who doesn't like crooning along to that song. "No huggy, no kissy...". I'll stop there before I start suggesting Feargal Sharkey, Hipsway, or Wet Wet Wet (or Gorky Park  ).

Hmm, let's see, how about the Soup Dragons, "I'm Free" from the early 90's. That has good bass and guitar, and is easy to sing along to. Or maybe Spacehog's "In The Meantime" from later in the 90's. That seems like it would be fun to play on bass, drums, or guitar. Or maybe that song "Sucked Out" from Superdrag from the end of the 90's. But, for a lot of people here, Blur is a one-hit wonder, so why not "Song 2"?

That is all I can think of off the top of my head. There are probably more.

You know that the chinny chin chin line is done by Maynard of Tool? I'd love for this song to be in this! Probably the closest we will get to any tool in this game...
