Ever since I updated Rock Band with the latest patch and "exported" my disc content to the ps3 HDD...
There's a high frequency at which when I play a song, the song will stutter, something like a framerate drop in the form of a pause...
And the song will stutter and loop for a second...
Then resume.. And happen once or twice again...
Then play normally...
Its happening frequently with my DLC tracks....
Noticed first with the All that remains songs...
Help!

Same thing here except I didn't d/l the disc to the HDD yet, all I did was get the patch. My HDD is brand new too, so I don't think it's that.

Another issue is entering the Quickplay menu with the songlist...
It takes longer...stutters before entering the song menu and the main menu audio goes into a loop...like a scratched cd...then it enters with no problems..
This latest update has caused serious instability for my rock band...
HELP HARMONIX!

Rock Band update did NOT screw up your Rock Band. If it had, it would have screwed up everybody's, not just yours. From the description, it sounds more like you have a damaged or dirty disc, or that your system is getting overly hot. If neither of those is the case, I would suggest deleting the RB data file (the one that holds DLC and Patch data) and re-download everything. Pain in the a$$ I know, but if it was the patch, its because the file became corrupted during the d/l.
On a side note, deleting the file and re-d/l'ing the DLC seemed to have fixed the scroll speed issues on the solo tour. I had to do it because my dog somehow managed to delete my profile while chewing on a controller :P

The most recent update likely did not cause the problems. It was the update where the in-game store was introduced that the PS3 problems began.
My game is getting worse at the stuttering. It will sometimes leap forward with the note charts (all instruments). Sometimes it will lag/stutter so bad that it hurts my eyes.
DO NOT DELETE YOUR DLC in the hopes of fixing the slow scroll issue. I did this and it does NOT WORK.

^Thx dude...
The thing is I knew not to go delete the content because at some times I would play a song and there would be no freezing even though it froze the play through before.
So nothing's corrupt...
And my PS3 is not overheating.. :|
If it were it would auto shutdown.
+ My disc is perfectly fine.
@ the most recent update...
This stuttering became most common after the latest update.
It was very rare before, thats how I isolated it to the latest update.
It probably just screwed up the last patch and created a bigger problem.
sigh.

TheApprentice and Gryffindor are absolutely correct. I am also experiencing the EXACT same issues ONLY since the patch and NOTHING else has changed. Unfortunately, this is not a DLC issue as it happens during any song, so I can see why re-downloading DLC would not help. I also tried 5.1 and stereo modes but it was no help. This is a specific problem introduced or made significantly worse with this patch. This NEEDS to be addressed.

I'm having the same issue...
Played the game before the update, perfectly fine...
Left game, a few hours went back in.... updated...
now it skips about twice on average per song.
Pretty sad :(
ps3 version btw.

Hi,
It seems that many have problems with RB PS3 update. Anyone install this update without any problems?
Is there any way to not install this update (except from disconnect Internet)?
And probably that I must absolutely install this update to be able to download new songs, no?
Thanks for response.

Signed up to this forums solely for this issue.
After the most recent update, I'm also experiencing quite a bit of "stuttering" no lockups or anything worse as of yet. Stuttering is annoying though.
