Surefire way to win out in the RB vs. GH Dual!

Is it music studio? Is it real time song sync from an MP3 player? Is it real guitar support? Sue all that would help, but no.

It's uncensored music, I mean bite the bullet and accept an "M" rating for "strong lyrics", add an option to censor the songs as a parental control. Boom, everyone's happy, and we finally get to have uncensored songs.

Now I know this issue has been discussed to death, but after playing RB2 I felt I needed to say something, I mean really... Who else has played "Down With The Sickness"? They left the middle part in (about his mom) AND censored it? WHAT?!? You might as will put in the "F*** Song" by Limp Bizkit and censor it, or how about some nice censored Insane Clown Posse? It makes just about as much sense.

hmm. considering a large chunk of the players that buy GH and RB are NOT annoying little kids that want to curse every other word like it's cool, but rather the parent's of those kids, or people that buy it to play with their family, i would say doing this would alienate a large chunk of their buying demographic they do not want to risk. This is why MANY MANY movies have switched to being primarily PG-13 instead of R, they found MANY MANY more people will see the movie if they stick with PG-13.

and parental controls would require them to include 2 versions of the song. double work/ twice the licensing fees/negotiations/ etc. i don't think this is impossible, but i still think the average "mom" consumer would pass over a "M" rated game in favor of a "T" rated game.

Actually the trend recently especially for comedies are R ratings, there have been a number of articles on it. Studios have been more willing to dorated R comedies now because they cost less to make, and therefore the lower profit equals out, but there has been a definite shift

I don't think I was clear in my meaning behind this post, yes it is to show that by adding uncensored songs people will flock to the game, which I believe they will as it will then appeal to a more core audience, family gamers have their console, it's called the Wii (I love the Wii by the way lol Fatal Frame IV FTW!)

My meaning is this: If you're gonna censor songs to the degree that they are then it's better to just leave them out, if a song is made up of a series of blank spaces as opposed to words then you've gone too far. Otherwise just uncensor them and leave them in.
