im pretty dissapointed that there isnt any hair metal bands on this game
for instance, where is
-Motley Crue
-Winger
-Dokken
-Skid Row
-Tesla
-Twised Sister
-Ratt
-Poison
-Warrant
-Def Leppard
even ZZ Top!!

while none of these band are on this game..
it is still AMAZING!
but come on, you cant tell me you wouldnt want to play any of the bands songs... :D

I would think Motley Crue would be a no-brainer for ANY guitar game. It must be expensive to buy the rights to their songs.

Well...IMO...the total lack of the major power metal bands in the 80s portion could lead one to think there will be a MASSIVE metal DLC announcement.

RttHs, yeah...no doubt Maiden IS heavy metal from the 80s...I know a great number of people my age that was really into metal of the 80s that would scoff at the idea of calling Bon Jovi metal and Rush is pure HARD intellectual/sophisticated rock.

So we really need a good 12-20 songs from the major players of the 80s metal scene; Judas Priest, Motley Crue, Iron Maiden, AC/DC, Van Halen and Def Leppard prolly all could justify a 3 pack of songs.

Ratt, Dokken, Quiet Riot, Krokus(to name just a few, their are WAY more)...these bands could easily offer at LEAST one good song each.

As G'n'R appeared on the scene with the late 80s HAIR metal bands like Warrant, Skid Row & Poison leading the way...each of those bands could add a song and Guns'n Roses really deserves to be represented with an entire album...Appetite for Destruction needs to be a full DL.

That would really fill out the 80s I think...

I don't know most of those bands, but I will say that is poison or def lepard is introduced, I will never DL them, and if Motley Crew and Twisted sister are introduced, I will return my Rock Band game.

To me, hair bands are like the circus, you don't go to watch it cause of the music becuase its so mediocre, you go to watch it for the show.

Ya this is funny, that some of these kids that own rock band, have never heard of Motley Crue and Def Lepeard...wtf? 80's hair metal changed how rock was accepted to the masses. Also these bands were first to introduce Arena Concerts!

I remember Nikki Sixx in one of his interviews with MTV, he said "I hope we put a nice little scar, ..on the face of the music industry".
