OK so, not long ago, 6 albums were announced (the Megadeth one was the first). Among them was a special "Best Of" for No Doubt. Since HMX always has the ability to change things if they like, I wanted to see if there was support for my idea, and maybe HMX would notice and change their plans.
My suggestion: Scrap this Best Of stuff and give us Tragic Kingdom! Tragic Kingdom is a solid album and every song off it would be awesome in RB. I love the Foo Fighters and Jane's Addiction, and I will buy both albums, but neither of those two albums are as solid start to finish, in my opinion, as Tragic Kingdom, and nothing No Doubt has done since has been as good. If a Best Of comes out, I will like only buy the Tragic Kingdom songs, and I wish I could get them all. They can release a 3-pack or 6-pack later with other song, but Tragic Kingdom deserves the full album treatment.
1. Spiderwebs

No Doubt is a band I'd prefer a Greatest Hits type thing from
although Tragic Kingdom is a good album

I personally can't think of a single non-Tragic Kingdom song I would rather have than any Tragic Kingdom song.

tragic kingdom is a good album, but i think a best of would suit no doubt better for the game over all

I would take out Hey You, Sixteen, You can do it, World go round.. and add in Snakes, Total Hate 97, Move On, New (or open the gate up) ... but doesn't matter really, I like them all, so will get whatever they choose..
though for some reason, i am hoping for a long shot of "by the way" :)
(mainly because my ex was a crazy independent spanish speaking arty flirty red wine drinking sexy tomboy who is innocent, slightly sneaky and who is now in San Fransisco bay heh)

I'm just happy we're getting No Doubt at all. Tragic Kingdom was the first album of theirs I bought and it brings back some good memories. However, I do like songs off their other albums as well. Some of the stuff off Beacon Street Collection would be a blast to play.

I'll buy anything and everything they release from No Doubt :)

It is probably more fair to No Doubt to put out a best of rather then the one monster album Tragic Kingdom. Though it is may be less likely that we will get No Doubt album cuts in the best of then if we got Tragic Kingdom.

I just recently acquired Rock Band (the first one) and I was so stoked to find out that No Doubt tracks were coming. I think Tragic Kingdom would be an excellent RB album, and I would ideally like to see it and a greatest hits album with songs from the remainder of their career, but that seems very unlikely.
If I have to chose one over the other, I'm with tepidshark that a Greatest Hits release is better for the band (and us). I'm really hoping that a few Beacon Street Tunes show up ('Snakes' and 'Total Hate '97' especially) as well as 'Oi to the World'. Good call, alt, with 'By the Way'. :)
Either way, I'm getting every scrap of No Doubt DLC they put out. Y'hear that, Harmonix! You've pretty much got my money in your pocket, you just gotta release as much ND stuff as possible. :D

I'm just happy that there's No Doubt for Rock Band DLC. Anything that HMX is willing to give out, I'll get it.. especially 'Spiderwebs'.

isn't 'Spiderwebs' gonna be on GH:WT?
Of course, it can come out for both..

How can you have No Doubt without Simple Kind Of Life (from Return of Saturn) and Running (from Rock Steady)

Snakes. That is all I want. I don't mind some other songs, but that is the only instant buy song for me.

tragic kingdom is not that good of a cd. i think hmx did right by just releasing a best of.
Since I'm a huge ND fan I'm gonna ignore that :p
Moiread, I totally agree but then again I like most ND stuff so I may be bias :)

Don't worry, Tragic Kingdom will be well represented in the No Doubt Greatest Hits DLC pack. I hope you at least wait to see what other songs are coming out before you decide what to get though. If you're limiting yourself to just the cuts from Tragic Kingdom you'll be cheating yourself out of some super fun poppy stuff.

I agree. Tragic Kingdom is the best of No Doubt. With the exception of Bathwater being kinda catchy, pretty much everything after Tragic Kingdom was terrible IMO.

Whatever the track listing will be, I hope it comes out soon so my fiancée will quit asking me if they've announced it yet. haha

Huh, why is there no option for pick and choose only. I like some No Doubt songs, but I don't think I would pay for a full album.

so long as no one decides to put "trapped in a box" in the set, I'll download all of them (though i do think that a tragic kingdom set would pretty much cover it)

Nice message Henry but where's the final set list? I'm sure you guys have it in the bag right now considering we obviously know what songs the full albums contain. Might as well spill the beans before someone else does ala VH1 classic, Dr. Feelgood, etc. ;)

as syked as I am about the upcoming No doubt DLC.
They probably already have it all picked out, so discussing it now is kind of pointless...
Bring on the No Doubt!

My option wasn't really there. I'd buy any and all No Doubt because they don't really have any songs that I don't like, and most would be hella fun to play since they are very skilled musicians

Hopefully it's in there :-)
It would also likely mean that it'd be release right before Christmas. I kind of wish it'll be available before that though. I'm planning a pretty big party in three weekends from now, and the No Doubt tracks will be a huge crowd pleaser, especially for girls. I love Jane's Addiction an Stevie Ray Vaughan, but I realize that a bunch of drunk girls singing "Don't Speak" will be a moment to remember for years to come.

QFT. The solution for me is putting like, half of Tragic Kingdom in the best of list, which I'm sure they will, and then pick and choose some other songs.
But I do agree that Tragic Kingdom would be awesome. Anything that keeps me from playing Hey Baby XD

Looking forward to some of the Rock Steady stuff, specifically "Hella Good", "Hey Baby" and (I know this is a LONG shot) "Waiting Room"...

Played Spiderwebs on GHWT, and its fun to sing but the ending is god-awful repetitive.

One or the other, i dont really care for No Doubt...its my partner who does. A best of means no more of there stuff whilst offering the bulk of what she wants to keep both of us happy.

Seriously, all these monkeys saying 'Tragic Kingdom' is the best album ever made need their ears testing !!! I LOVE ND, and even though TK was the first album i heard of theirs, its not their best by a long shot.
All of you who dont agree, go and listen to 'Return of Saturn', 'Rock Steady' & 'Everything in Time', then come back and tell me you still want Tragic Kingdom. Trust me, you wont.
Would love to have 'Ex-girlfriend', 'Just a Girl', 'Youre so foxy' & 'Under Construction' to name a few. (Marry Me, Simple Kind of Life, Artificial Sweetener, Beauty Contest,Detective, Hella Good, Making Out, Oi to the World & Big City Train if im actually making a list, lol)
Just a shame we may get lumbered with tragic kingdom due to all the narrow minded 'sheep' on here agreeing with the OP. No Doubt made more than one wicked album, why would you only want ONE as DLC ??
