It's always fun to hear people's fun and bad launch experiences for consoles and highly anticipated games like Rock Band. I thought it'd be fun to have a thread dedicated to everyones Rock Band pick up experience. (I have one about the PS2 launch, and it still shames me to this day).

I preordered a month ago, and finished paying off yesterday. I'll be picking it up tomorrow when it opens, as the other Gamestop I didn't preorder at has a midnight launch. ;_;

I've already had some difficulty. I call GS yesterday to confirm that a midnight is not happening. They then say YES, BE HERE EARLY! I'm hyped. I get there yesterday to pay it off and I talk to the manager to double confirm (because they boned me on assassin's creed) and now they say no again :mad: Who do I have to talk to around here to get some real answers.

i think i have called my gamestop about a dozen times trying to talk them into having a midnight launch. No such luck.

I'm not sure I get the whole "reserving a space" thing. Wouldn't it be better to post later, so it appears later in the thread and is more likely to be read by someone skimming for the newest posts?

On topic: My pickup will hopefully be very boring. I skip out of work an hour early, detour, get box, go home. If box is not there, horrible atrocities may occur.

My pre-order from Amazon got incredibly messed up, apparently changing your shipping means that your order resets, so even though I originally ordered in September from them, they consider my order to be from November, so it will not be shipped until the 26th.

That being said I plan to rush over to Best Buy after class on Tuesday, hopefully there will be copies left and I can then have Rock Band on day one and just cancel my online order.
