The game hits tonight but I know there's some people like me who will just have to wait. My gamestop isn't doing a midnight release but even if it was I wouldn't have been able to play it till tuesday night anyways because of work. Somehow knowing that I'm just numb. I know other people are going to be playing all day tuesday but it just doesn't bother me because I've seen what's coming and know what to expect and can just chill until tuesday night and just get my game on. It's like not being afraid of death or something.

I completely agree. Having to wait until after work kind of sucks, but I have Wednesday off, and will probably try to sneak out of work a little early to pick it up, and have at it.

I'm probably gonna take a nap tonight, if I can't find some activity to occupy my thoughts other than overrefreshing this forum and potentially spamming it with crap posts as a result. Get the time to zip right by, you know?
It's bizarre. I'm 32 freaking years old and I'm back to being a 10 year old kid eagerly awaiting Christmas to roll around so I can get, like, Optimus Prime or something.

Glad to hear I'm not the only dude in his early thirties wetting his pants for this game.

Haha, yeah, I'll be 26 years old in 2 weeks and I'm sitting here just dying for Rock Band, thinking about that the other day, I haven't felt this way about a game in a very, very long time.
Yeah, my store isn't doing anything for midnight so I get to pick iut up at 10:30am, oh the joy.

Yeah, I was just thinking the same thing this weekend. Last time I was this excited about a game was Super Mario 64. I heard they had a playable demo at Toys R Us, and I just had to go and play it. Totally blew my mind, and I couldn't wait for the day to come when I'd get my hands on it again.

Mid 30's...
I'm in agreement here too - early 30's, though I often claim 25 since people believe it. Of course, I bet there are even fewer gals like me feeling this way. :)

No midnight release for me, so I have to wait until Tuesday afternoon. Today has gone very, very slow so far and tomorrow will be even slower. So I figure tonight I'll just play Call of Duty 4 all night and into the morning, seeing as how I won't be able to sleep.
I'm losing sleep over a video game, >.>...

even if my gamestop was doing a midnight release, i'd still be s.o.l. due to the fact that i have to work at 8:30 am and i know that i wouldn't just come home from the release party and go to bed...i'd play rock band until like 4 in the morning or something. i'm bad like that

36 and it feels like Christmas...
My wife is going to play, too. Not sure if she's excited or not, but she booted up GH2 a couple days ago on her own and we played for a couple hours...

The only 3 games I've ever done a midnight launch for:
GH2
GH3
and today will be Rock Band.
Forget your Halo, your Bioshock, your Orange Box... this is as good as it gets. :D

We're actually pretty lucky how fast Rock Band has gone from announcement to release. Half Life 2 was a nightmare...
I do have to say. I've been a gamer a long while, and I've followed a lot of games through their production. This one has me by the throat in a whole new way, though. I've lost count of how many people I've turned on to Rock Band. I've even got a whole speech worked out, starting with "So you know Guitar Hero, right? Well..." My favorite is a Father and his 2 sons, all huge giant big bellied men who look like construction workers. They were looking for Guitar Hero 3 at best buy while I was at the Rock Band demo. One conversation later, they walked out of the store coming up with band names. They also didn't pick up GH3. Weird.
Anyway, I'm with the OP. Working tomorrow, but not to stressed about it. Tomorrow night should be good times.

If you can believe it, I am actually NOT looking forward to tomorrow.
I will get the game and have a few hours to play it, then I have to leave for a trip to visit the wife's family several states away... UNTIL SUNDAY NIGHT! Then I get to come back to town and go to work the next day.
All those holiday hours I could have sepnt playing... :(

I'm somewhat numb. Mostly because I know that I'll arrive at my In-Laws place in the USA tomorrow, and see Rock Band waiting for me. Then only be able to read the manual and stare at the hardware until I return to Canada on Saturday. So mixed feelings of anticipation, dread and "dude, calm down you've still got days to go before you can actually PLAY it," are all competing for headspace.

I totally agree. *laugh* (Except that in my head it's Megatron, not Prime. ;) )

I am NOT NUMB AT ALL.
Sorry for the caps, my coworkers/friends and I are going bonkers today. One guy is getting it at midnight for sure since his Gamestop is having a midnight opening. He lives 20 miles away from me and I'm still going over there tonight.
My Gamestop is not having a midnight opening so it is 10 AM for me tomorrow, although I did take tomorrow off and will be heading to another guy's house for a marathon session of rocking.
THE ANTICIPATION IS KILLING ME.
Again, sorry for the caps.
