it doesn't really interest me at all i don't know why but just looks boring to me, id rater just play Halo 3, GH, ROCK BAND, and GTA4, there are so many games out right now that i would like to try out like COD4 and Assassin's Creed but don't really have to time and money to buy them i may rent them in near future but as for mass effect i don't even feel like trying it out at all.

Seems to be getting a pass on some stuff other games get dismantled for and get 6 and 7 type scores if they have it. :confused:

That's how I felt about them giving R&C 7.5.
But yes, screw reviews in the long run but they do make for a good read.

Actually I think Gamespot are probably best, 2nd only to actually renting the game. I think they summed up games like Bioshock perfectly, and it seems that everyone is going crazy for plot when it is only a minor thing within the game.
They don't pander to whoever they're advertising (cough ign). They're not owned by Rupert Murdoch (double plus), its well written, and it seems like they care more about gameplay than story. You didn't hear Miyamoto working on his Mario story masterpiece did you? Too busy making a fat plumber jump. And it worked.

I mean plot for Rock Band isn't gonna be Shakesperian is it, facing up against the devil (oh we didn't see that coming for last song being the devil went down to georgia...) in GH3 wasn't incredible.

I think we need to take a step back really from the story sometimes. Replay Mario, Zelda, sports games, Halo... fun. Without a really deep story (well Halo pretends it has but everyone knows it hasnt...) and where it only relies on strong fun-based gameplay.

Sorry to go offtopic.

Anyway Mass Effect looks good but its way down my list of games I need.

Feels like a 8.5 so far.
I started with a Vangard since that was apprently the easiest to use but I don't really like the shotgun. Pistol is suprisingly great but I guess that's something all classes could use. Seems to lack any sort of style for the characters but the enviroments are nice. Might be some better looking stuff later.

I absolutely love the facial animations! I yelled at my crew mate and actually felt bad about it, which I don't think any game has ever done before to the same extent

I hope they're working on a patch. The glitches/bugs are getting rediculous.

well idk how far into the game you are but i think i'm halfway through and the bugs aren't TOO bad. the story/combat is waaaay too awesome to hate on this game cuz of the bugs

I get stuck on...well there's nothing there but I get stuck...almost everytime I walk across a bridge in the Citadel. I can save and reload or crouch and then it'll be fixed.

I did a mission one way and got a reward,I had thought I missed info doing it this way so I reloaded. Turns out I didn't miss anything and didn't get a reward that way. Reload again do it the first way again but got nothing,3 more trys still nothing.

The Mako tipped over,not sure if that was a bug or it was supposed to happen but it didn't seem like it should've.

I got stuck IN a rock on the first planet I went to. Couldn't move so I attempted to save then reload like on the Citadel. Upon reloading Ashley was now stuck in the rock with me.

On the brightside finally found some decent looking armor for 2/3 of the characters but then on the other side the planets are pretty empty so far. Been playing for something like 12 hours. It's a good game and all but this seems like basic stuff testers should've picked up and had fixed.
