I don't quite understand how it works, and I want to get boston as quickly as posible

I believe you 'start' whereever you choose your hometown to be. So I would suggest selecting Boston for your hometown.

I think he's talking about the band Boston. Not the town Boston.

Start in Boston and do th local pride setlist. It has Boston and Aerosmith.

That's why they suggested starting in Boston (the city) to get quick access to Boston (the band)

what about bonus songs? are those purchases or do they just unlock themselves through a play counter of sorts? sorry, i'm stoked to play some Flyleaf though

I think all songs unlock by venue, with some songs available at multiple venues. I'm not sure if the song unlocks when you reach the venue, or if you have to beat it first.
