GH2 controller with adapter?

Well, after being let down by the news of the PS3 les paul not working with RB, I was wondering... Would the PS2 GH2 controller (or GH1 for that matter) work using an adapter? Sorry if this has been discussed, but I thought maybe with the game pretty much out, people could try it.

A couple of people are supposed to give it a go at some point this evening. But, it is confirmed by a couple of people that the pelican adapter will not work with RB. There is a huge thread around here where this is being discussed.

Yes, this has been discussed countless times.

Pros:
RB runs on the same "open guitar standards" of GH1.

Cons:
There are several different PS2-to-PS3 converters out there, some work better than others.

I've had my fingers crossed for weeks that I can use my PS2 guitar as a bass until I can pick up a second Strat. I guess I'll find out for sure in 19 hours.
