My amazon order shipped wrong

For those that ordered from amazon, check your shipping. Me, being a prime member, order next day. I just received an email stating that my order shipped. However, they used two day. Which means it will arrive on the 21st. I work on the 21st. This is not what I wanted.

I called them to see if they could upgrade it for me. The person I spoke to seemed as confused as I was. Unfortunately, it was already in a position where it could not be changed. Fellow prime member, my theory is they did not want to send such a large item overnight for only $3.99. Thats why I say to you, double check your shipping.

Seeing that I work on the 21st, and I wanted my entire off day to play, I will now be waiting inline early tomorrow morning to get my bundle. At least this way I'll have two strats to play. I'll also have two drums, two mics, and two games, but I could always sell them.

I noticed the exact same thing on my order, except they screwed the pooch with my user account, so the order ended up cancelled.

Same thing happened to me. The CSR from Amazon thought it was just a misunderstanding of the shipping terms, and I told him to look into it some more. He then came back and said that it should have shipped next day, but went second day for whatever reason. He tried to get the shipping corrected, but said that it was too late in the process to do so. I got the $3.99 S&H refunded to my account and will get it on the 21st.

I agree that they probably didn't want to cover the next day shipping costs on a 40lbs package for only $3.99.

I guess I will be at Wal-mart tonight at midnight to see if I can score a copy. :(

Yea, I don't get this. I've never had a problem with amazon before. I wouldn't care if it were something else. Big deal, I could wait. But this is Rock Band!!! I've been waiting for this all year.

Looks like the same thing happened to mine. Mine shipped UPS Ground, though. Says it will arrive on the 21st. Maybe they were shipping everyone's whatever shipping gets it there on the 21st. But since we paid for Next Day Air, its kinda misleading. I will definitely be giving them a call.

I'm a Prime Member also and chose Overnight for 3.99, but on my UPS tracking number it says "Ground"...it says it's in transit to Virginia now...so hopefully I recieve it tomorrow...even though it says the 21st as the estimated delivery time.

Mine Shipped on the 18th but the estimate was the 20th my estimate for delivery was the 21st but it says its in transit to Atlanta, Georgia from Ohio Im hoping it comes tommorow does anyone know the average time UPS delivers?

Hmmm, very interesting.

I had originally ordered 'super saver' shipping.
Then I noticed it had a really late ship date, so I changed it to 'next day', which cost
an extra $16.

It still shipped UPS ground, also. I was waiting to see what happened before I
griped - on the off chance that it arrives tomorrow anyway. (which is still not out of the question)

i think you were expecting too much. next day air technically would mean a 21st delivery date since the release date is the 20th, no?

what is messed up is that effectively they said they would ship a certain method instead of giving you a delivery date...so yes, you are entitled to overnight air and should be refunded if they shipped it a different way. that's just the way i see it.

Not necessarily. I've received things day and date with retail, and since retail stores are selling tomorrow, there is no reason I shouldn't get mine the same day. I got an email saying that my item shipped today. Naturally, next day air means I should get it tomorrow.

i totally understand your point. sorry if it was unclear in my post. all i was trying to say was if amazon thought next day air meant you would get it by the 21st (i swear amazon has that thing where it says "order it before x:xx p.m. and get it by xx") then maybe they felt it didnt matter how they shipped it to you as long as it got to you by the date you expected to get it.
i know someone who preordered the bundle online and they mustve shipped it 2nd day air (to Hawaii), when other folks cuz on the continent must have had theirs shipped out via ground, cuz he got it on friday. so he lucked out, while everyone else will likely see theirs arrive tomorrow (or today if they're lucky!).

It's one extra day, dude. I'm surprised you're gonna go out and get another bundle just because of a minor little delay....but to each his own i guess. That's why i don't bother ordering stuff online. I'd rather not wait for it to get to my house.

I had exactly the same thing happen: Prime shipping with next day, order shows as Ground shipping. It says it'll be delivered on the 20th... we'll see :P

The point is not the one extra day, the point is we payed $16.00 for shipping and its still going GROUND....

Had I selected 2 day shipping (which I DID originally), I would have gotton at teh same time for $5 less. Apparently if I chose GROUND / standard, i STILL would ahve gotton it and payed only $4 for shipping.

it's a little extra effort, but getting a 2nd bundle really isnt that bad of an idea. basically all you need to do is return the bundle that arrives in the mail later back to the store you bought locally from with original receipt.

It's weird. I picked 2 day shipping and it said it shipped today and guess what? Estimate time of arrival is 20th for me. wtf? Amazon is so random like that.
