How do I sign in as a singer if the mic has no buttons?

I'm pretty sure you can/do connect the mic to a controller.

The mic is USB so it can't connect to the controller. You plug the mic into the USB hub and then use a separate controller to navigate the menus (everyone else can control menus with their instruments, but since the mic doesn't have any buttons you need to use a standard controller).

The only time you'd plug a microphone into the controller would be if you were using the XBL headset.
