View Full Version : Meijer.com cancelling preorders stating "issues" with one of the pieces

Well I thought I was good to go but not the case. Grrrrrr. I just got a ridiculous email from Meijer.com about my preorder. I will paste it below. I'm still reading it in disbelief. One minute they are blaming it on a possible problem with one of the pieces of equipment. Then they state that they won't be carrying it until 11/20/07 (duh! that's the release date). What????? No love any more from me for them (their 20% coupon not long ago that applied to video game systems did impress me though). To the store I go....

Thank you so much for your recent order with Meijer.com. We're sorry to inform you that we are canceling your order for item Rockband for Xbox 360. We have information that manufacturer EA (Electronic Arts) is having issues with one of the components in Kit breaking, specifically the drum kits. We have chosen not to carry this game until it’s released on 11/20/07.

Yeah that pretty much makes no sense at all. Of course they aren't releasing it until...the release date. And the drums haven't been a problem for anyone so far.

Of all the websites on the web to pre-order from why didn't you get it from Gamestop.com or Amazon?

Too late to the punch in preordering... I got mine through Meijer on the 1st day (and only) they put it up for preorder. They are very reputable retailer in OH. Oh well. Not the end of the world.

As I said before... to the store I go!

For those wondering, Meijer is a chain of department stores in, predominatly, the Greak Lake region of the US.

Pretty good store, actually.


EDIT: Wow, 20% off? That's awesome. Maybe even worth waiting for...

Been on the Drums for 20+ hours of gameplay and no problems yet and I've been hitting the set as hard as I would a real one!

Its best, when its 2 in the morning and your bored out of your mind, and your buddy says... LETS GO TO MEIJER!.. and then you do something possibly stupid and get arrested :P
