Wii Guitar Problem

Problem: I can't sync my Wii Guitar with the Console.
The reciever seems to be ok, after plugging it in it starts blinking.
On the other hand, immediately after switching on the guitar one of the four blue lights next to the sync button flashes for a split second, nothing more after that. Batterys are ok, I have used serveral fresh ones, including those from the box.

Any clues? :confused:

We had the same problems with lights blinking, but not synching. I removed the batteries from our wii remotes because they seem to be interfering with the guitar synching. I pressed the red sync button on the front of our wii console to sync with the guitar after removing the batteries from wii remotes. The guitar synched right away. Its not a battery issue. The instructions need to be greatly improved about these interfering with each other.
