Yeah, we've had threads like this before, but allow me to start one focusing on something specific:

Players seeking players who are NOT the sort to yawn at Dragonforce on expert.

Myself, I've got almost all of Medium covered, and am trying (unsuccessfully, but trying!) to learn Hard. Tomorrow, after I unbox and set up, I'd like to get online and participate in some band quickplay (not duels) with casual players to just wanna get in there and have some fun without being score whores.

Ideally, this would be "the majority of online players", but I make no assumptions given the usual 13 year old screaming twits you find on X-Box Live. I'd rather play with friendly forumites than random kiddies who mock your skills and actually spell out, in voice chat, "Lol, ell too pee, nube."

Gamertag's HeXcoda. Anybody else ready to rock regardless of difficulty? I'm willing to play bass or vocals. Heck, those are my two favorites!

Edit: Here's a running list of gamertags of those keen on friendly rockouts! Beats keeping up with the thread. I'll try to keep this up to date as I just posted like five freaking minutes ago and we already have eight, wow. You guys rule!

Edit #2: Um, wow. This list is amazingly popular. The average difficulty cited here is Hard, but most people are willing to play with folks at or below that, which was the point in the first place. So, grab any random name off this list and you should have a good time. :) I doubt it'd be possible to friendslist everybody, but it's still a good resource! Even though I play on expert and try to go for a decent score somtimes, it's mostly out of boredom. Any time any of you want to join up on live and rock out I don't mind one bit, or a bit of friendly competition is fine with me too :-p

I'm far from awesome at GH, I have 5-starred all of hard on GH3, and am stuck on DWDTG on Expert...so respectable, but not godly by any means. :P

I'm in Canada, but ordered the bundle off of Ebay, so I'll probably get it around Dec 7-10 or so. For the first few days at least, I'll likely try to get through the drum campaign, so probably won't be online for a while with RB...but when I do get there, definitely up for some rockin! :D Willing to play all instruments as well, so I'm easy to work with. :P

It's good to see so many people who are less interested in difficulty and scoring and more in jamming with everyone and anyone. That's the beauty of Rock Band. That's what makes it a community and not just a group of guitar PVPers. Huzzah.
