while at my mall i just bought the album toxicity by system of a down (and a disturbed shirt but that doesn't really matter) andi think they should put the full album on rock band . i never hear soad before rock band and now like them quite a bit .

who agrees with me , Toxicity album dlc, yay or nay?

Really like i said in first post, the songs already on rock band and now the songs on toxicity are the only soad i know. my hot topic has a little rock band area with a chalk board that has recent dlc listed on it and below that are shirts from bands in rock band and a rack of 1 album from some of the rb bands.probably wouldn'tve bought the cd if it werent for that little rack of rb band cds.

i'll check into this mezmerize one.

damn, byob is my fav of the ones that are on rb already. well i have other priority's to spend my money on but i will download mezmerize(i get most of my music from utorrent , only reason i actually bought toxicity is cause well i didn't actually have to pay for it , i convinced my mom to get it for me as a treat for doing pretty good in school so far this year

I think I'm the only person I've ever known who thinks Toxicity was extremely weak compared to their debut. I'd even put Mesmerize and Steal This Album before it.

Aside from Shimmy, Jet Pilot and X, who don't sound as special and unique as the other songs, it would be amazing to get Psycho, Deer Dance and Prison Song.

And I'd side with everyone that said that the other albums are overally as good, if not better. Sugar, Kill Rock N' Roll, Stealing Society, Soldier Side, Bubbles, Boom, Sad Statue, Suggestions and I-E-A-I-A-I-O would be insanely good additions.

I'd personally would prefer a 6 pack that would cover every album's best songs. I'd say :

SOAD 6 Pack
-Suggestions
-Deer Dance
-Prison Song
-Bubbles
-Sad Statue
-Stealing Society

No singles?! Nope, because I like how Harmonix don't always put singles in. It's necessary for insanely popular songs, but for groups like SOAD who are fairly well-known, they can dive around their old catalog to find good songs instead of singles.

I really couldn't see Bounce translating to RB at all.

I remember getting it the day it came out and immediately being underwhelmed, it just didn't seem to flow as naturally as their first album.

Ironically, this is pretty much the same feeling I get from Death Magnetic, but I think we've driven that into the ground at this point.

Now that we have two singles from this album, I think we really should get the rest of it.

Violent Pornography would be ******edly fun on vox/drums.
Sad Statue, Question, Old School Hollywood, Lost in Hollywood, and Radio/Video would cover everything else.

I think adding "only" one album by SOAD, eliminates alot of perfect songs that are located on their other albums. On a whole I would love more SOAD, and Toxicity would surely do in the worst case of scenarios.

BUT! If I could decide by myself, there should be another SOAD pack with these songs:

I only like the back half of this album. There is no way I would play anything from before Atwa (except Chop Suey, but we've already got that) so I wouldn't buy this album. They could package three songs that they haven't released yet though, like Atwa, Science, and Aeriels. That I would definitely buy.

Really, if mature content wasn't an issue, I would definitely pick the self-titled System of a Down album, hands down. I love every song on that album, and it's the one with the most energy, I'd say. Steal this Album! or Toxicity would be next on my list, and if I had to pick one of the last two, Mezmerize because Hypnotize is just a terrible disappointment in my honest opinion.

I'd say there is more than a select few songs on those two albums that are any good. But, yeah, the 2 albums do contain a chunk of filler and both are rather short. Have always felt that those 2 albums didn't go well with SoaD. They rant a lot about commercialism, then produce 2 short albums with filler rather than a single good album of decent length.

In terms of albums, well, I'd rather not have any albums, just give me the best off all their stuff, since short of RBN, it isn't likely we'll get all of it anyway and, even if we could, I'd rather see HMX time spent on a greater variety rather than the entire catalog of a single band.

If I had to choose though, would definitely go with one of the first 2 albums over Hypnotize or Mesmerize.

i would choose mesmerize because there is not a song on that album that i dont like, that has never happened to me for any band ever! however i still love toxicity and their self tittled album to death. Im hoping that with all the rumors of them getting back together rock band will honor them by having a massive amount of their songs released. when i say massive i say 10 would make me bounce off the walls with joy, but i understand how hard it is to get the songs in there and the demand of everyone else so, five would still make me really happy. but i would pay for rock band twice over if i could get more system of a down!

I'd personally LOVE to have Toxicity as a full album! I know it's not AS heavy as some of their other albums, but it's definitely their most melodic/best written. It's the only SOAD album I would insta-buy in its entirety, the other albums I would probably cherry-pick from... Suite Pee, Sugar, Spiders, Innervision, Question!, Hypnotize, and Lonely Day being my picks from the other albums.

Honestly, it might just be me, but i believe that mezmerize was their best written album. I mean come on, if you actually listen to the songs like lost in hollywood, revenga, radio/video, and sad statue, some of their best written songs (I opt no for BYOB, but that's just me)

But i do believe the toxicity album would sell alot more because alot of Soad fans don't agree with me on this. I think it's only because toxicity is more up-beat and less mature than Mezmerize, but the point is, i'd buy any system we can get except for anything off of Steal This Album except for highway song
