How would I go about getting my band as DLC

I know its a shot in the dark, but I see a lot of bands on Rock Band and it blows my mind how they got there!

I'm not saying we're the greatest band but I do have some reasons.

1-Not in this for the money or fame...HMX take 100% profits please!

2-I could chart out the whole song on every instrument, therefor HMX has no work to do besides throw it into their computers and wah lah!

3-We're from Boston. ;)

4-Our genre lacks in RB. (Screamo/Post Hardcore/Not metal!)

5-We'd promote the fact that our song was in RB for DLC. Ive seen a lot of bands live that were featured as DLC and dont acknowledge it at shows or anywhere! Not even a "Hey this songs on Rock Band...go download it!" What I'm saying, it's rare to find bands that are involved with RB when their song is in the game! I know some bands do, but there's A LOT that dont. I remember at Warped Tour this year there was a RB tent. The band Say Anything was there rocking out on Rock Band all day playing with fans and it was pretty sweet. Although I dont listen to them...heck...get Say Anything on DLC! They'd love it!

So anyone think I have any chances with this?

I was thinking charting out the songs and making a begging letter to HMX to give to them.

Like I said I know this is shot in the dark.

But I think as a band we'd could be totally involved and open up a new genre to Rock Band.

Any suggestions for me and the band I'd appreciate it.

Man i wish there was more music like this on Rock band. It would be awesome for fans of the genre like me, money for HMX, and publicity for you guys. winners all round!

2. They do need to advertise better. Dragonforce stuck a GH3 sticker on Inhuman Rampage but that's about it.

Your right, I think a little less begging and more of the pros of why it would be a positive move for them.

even the small record label i run ignores links to online music. my philosophy is that if you're not devoted enough to mail a physical copy then i'm not devoted enough to listen to it.

so do a little sleuthing, find an address, and send a demo cd along with a fifth of jack daniels for HMXhellion. :)

It's pretty good.
I'd say, if your serious about everything you said, send HMX an album, and if you can do the music charts like you said, send em a copy of that, as well. Bundle it with a note that gives them the rights to use your music in the game, and let them know you're willing to give them all the profit.
