It's 7 p.m. here....I've had about 5-6 beers...I work at 7 a.m. tomorrow, and my local GS is having a midnight release. It's a 15 min. drive that just happens to run right by a friggin' police station! I know my copy is totally paid-off and will be waiting at midnight...but, do I dare drink a few more beers while I watch the Titans and Broncos game, and then go get RB, or say forget it, and take my chances tomorrow that GS didn't screw something up and pick it up after work?
Very, very tough choice here....

depends what your tolerance is. id be so paranoid some ****** would sell my reservations tomorrow (thinking, "hey, we had a midnight release, and it's already mid-afternoon, i guess this guy that preordered really doesnt want it right away, sure i'll sell it to you." not knowing of course that people actually work and cant be first in line).
if youre drunk though, stay home. the last thing we want to hear about is you dying in a wreck or killing some poor person on the road cuz you went out intoxicated to pick up a video game.

QFT, hate to see you hurt yourself or others over a video game.

Get a DD :P
Or stop drinking, in 4 hours you'll be good to go.
Another option is walking, its cold and brutal out, but hey its Rock Band!
I'm not going to say Drink and Drive, but you should totally find a way to get it at midnight, its worth it!

No, no, no...I'm not drunk, by any means, but by 11:30 p.m. or so, well, I may be a little tipsy. Just don't want to go into GS tomorrow and find out they sold ALL of them and didn't realize that MINE happen to be one of them, or only have a few pre-orders leftover that are NOT for my system!
Crap....curse you Rock Band for the greatness that you shall be...!!!

You could just watch the game sober (I know, it sucks, but it is for rock band, after all), pick up the game, and then play all night.

No no no....
Seriously, If the game (RB of course) is that important ditch the beer now and switch to Mtn. Dew or something high in sugar content, get jazzed up and watch the game *then* go hit the store.
Once home, crack open a brew while setting up then rock out in true fashion!
I cant imagine how LAME it would be to get yer ass locked up on RB-Eve, missing the midnight launch. Especially for Monday Night Football.
And this is coming from someone in Denver, who's kids were Jr. Denver Bronco Cheerleaders for 5 years.
Aint worth it bro!

Have fun and keep drinkin (don't drive):D Finish watching the game. At midnight, call your retailer and tell them that you'll be in to pick up tomorrow after work. Make them write it down so whoever comes on shift tomorrow will know that you're coming and not sell it.
This way you get the best of both:D And you don't risk getting arrested!

"knock it back,
have another one.
drink & driving is so much fun!!"
actually don't... that song has a bad message..
i'd say stop drinkin or dont bother.
you are 7 beers deep and the game hasnt even started.. at this rate you will be hammered by midnight.
no point in risking lock up and or killing yourself or someone else because of a football and video game.
if you ended up killing just yourself cause you had to get hammered for football then decided a video game was worth your life.. must say i would think you deserved it.. well maybe not death.. but the trip to the hospital at least. stupidity deserves everything that comes it's way.

You'll have plenty of time to play Rock Band after you get pulled over for a dead headlight or some other non-related thing, only to have the cop discover you have been drinking, and ta-dah! You lose your license (maybe even spend some time in jail). YOU WIN!

Your gamestop WILL NOT sell your bundle unless they have more preorders than bundles. If thats the case then you have to go but don't be stupid and drive. Get someone to drive for you. If not just go tommorow and you will get the game, you have my word. Gamestop is good when it comes to preorders.

Go ahead and go fer it! Just remember the rules for drinking and driving: Drive slow...But not too slow!! Chew a few altoids and chase 'em with a red bull, then chug a mtn. Dew.
Heh, but no, don't drink and drive... I remember when I went to the PS2 midnight launch, a cop was on my tail almost half the drive back from the mall. WHOO! Crap was I nervous! Good thing I hadn't had any alchoholic beverages that night, HOOOO LAWDY!!!
