New 1.01 Patch for PS3. Did NOT FIX GH3 Guitar

So I just updated the software with the patch released today for PS3. For those with hope that it would fix the GH3 Guitar, it did NOT.

You know, this is one of the few times I'm glad I decided to pick up my X-Box before my PS3. I want and will have a PS3, but for this, I'm glad I didn't.

Seriously, I feel really bad for all the PS3 owners who bought GHIII hoping to use the LP for Rock Band. You guys are getting screwed.

obviously the patch was meant to resolve issues with the strat. im sure the les paul issue was an unforseen problem that may not be easily resolved.

sorry, i just made an assumption based on what was said earlier from harmonix about the strat fix and how they wished no one broke the street date so any problems could be avoided before people got too deep in the game.

you may want to check the main rock band page for any links or news. i cant access the main page cuz i think it uses flash and my computer at work doesnt have it loaded.

I'm curious, how did the game patch install? Theres no patch on the PSN, and every patch I've installed before had to be downloaded from the PSN first.

Seriously? I've never had to install a patch from the PSN. Resistance, Warhawk etc. all installed the second I joined an online game through the game itself.

PS3 patches go through the games themselves. You may have downloaded an add-on through PSN. I know Motorstorm and NHL08 patch directly from the game. I also rented a few games that had to update through the game itself to play.

I think he's talking about the game being updated to version 1.01, not the firmware being upgraded to 2.01? Or are you?

Does the Les Paul still work with Rock Band? I'm worried that my friend will not have all three of his guitars working, and I'm worried that you cannot use three guitars playing one game (like a triple Pro-Face Off).
