It's got some really good stuff on it- but I'd change some of the songs. Not the bands, mind you. Only the songs.

For instance, Skid Row - I'd have Slave to the Grind or Youth Gone Wild.

My Iron Maiden pack would be: The Trooper, Rime of the Ancient Mariner, and The Prisoner.

Warrant, I'd have Uncle Tom's Cabin.

Ok enough bumping your own post. RB2 JUST came out, and it's not even out on the PS3 yet. FFS, lets try actually playing and enjoying RB2 for a while before we suggest songs for RB3.

Or better yet, I'm gonna go post my Rock Band 4 setlist straight away.

Also, learn to post songs properly

You might want to take like ten minutes to order your songs alphabetically in each decade. It makes it much easier.

Wait more than 12 minutes for me to respond next time.

Also, notice in my post that I cleary state Rock Band 2 is not even out for the PS3 yet

So it's even MORE ridiculous that you want to make a setlist for a game that doesn't exist yet, to follow a game that hasn't been released yet.

Wow. Doesn't anyone else find this as stupid as I do?

Lots of bumps there...

A few things I'd change.

Burnin' For You by BOC instead of your choice.
Replace Burn with either Smoke on the Water or, more preferably, Pictures of Home.
Xanadu isn't the best Rush choice for Rock Band, though it's an awesome song. Replace it with Spirit of the Radio, or if you're still dead set on the 10 minute song, Natural Science would work perfectly, more vocals, better intro.
While the whole album is up for sale, (Stupidly mega kudos for that) replace Take no Prisoners with Holy Wars. It's a better song and more suited to full band play.
Might as well replace Four Horsemen with Mechanix. It's the same song, just better.
Please put Smells like Teen Spirit anywhere on that list, preferably on disc.
Needs more Freebird.
Replace the Freezepop song with Ready 2 Rokk.
Really? A Rick Astley song that isn't Never Gonna Give You Up?

Awesome list otherwise. :)

I really enjoyed a lot of this list, and was surprised by your inclusion of some really key bands that haven't been featured on RB yet, such as Jefferson Airplane and Styx (why Harmonix!? Why no Styx!!??). But as has been said by others, I think your 90's, and 80's need some reworking. Some great bands in there, just curious song choices, when it seems like there are so many better ones to choose from.

Overall though, nice list! One of the better ones I've seen on the forum.

I don't know half the list, But I liked what I recognized. I'd suggest a pack for The B-52's as well, or their entire first album if possible. (See the cover in my profile pic?) I'd imagine they would have to re record at least one song, though. They didn't have a bassist at the time so Ricky modified his guitar to play both at once, But I think that was only for the opening track "Planet Claire" And Kate played bass on keyboards for the rest of the album.
