It's often difficult to find a song that could be considered challenging in softer rock, but I was listening to the solo from The Shins' "Turn on Me" today and realized it would make a fun guitar part. (And almost all of The Shins' work has amazing vocals.) "Australia" also has a fun-sounding solo, but the song isn't quite as challenging as "Turn on Me" in general (but the vocals would be AMAZING for it). Anyone else agree?

I can't think of many Shins songs that would work (though I love them dearly), but I think this one would work rather well, in spite of the fact that it's a little slow for Rock Band.

I wouldn't think so either, but I saw them live about a month or two ago and suddenly the quiet, demure quartet I knew turned into an explosion of energy and sound that I felt would translate well to Rock Band.
Although, they did speed up many of the songs significantly, so perhaps that's why. "Maps" is at least as slow as either of these songs, so I hope that maybe we'll be able to see The Shins as DLC in the upcoming months!

I think Turn on Me would be awesome for Rock Band. The game needs more indie. It pretty much only has The New Pornographers right now.
