Ok, I know that there are billions of these, but I wanted to get some answers to a question.
Im a drummer, and I am very curious about this aspect of RockBand.
Have any of you seen those MTV Drums arcade games in arcades? Its almost like an electric drumset, and it works very well. (Looked through google, couldnt find a pic, but think something like this) http://www.musiciansbuy.com/.../Roland_td12sbk.jpg
My only problem with the concept shown in GameInformer, is that there is no high hat. (For those who are not drummers, the high hat is a cymbal, with a matching symbol, that when a drummer pushes down his left foot, it forces the two cymbals together, thus creating a "Shink Shink Shink" sound.). Here is a pic: http://www.funkypancake.com/blog/stuff/DSC05614.jpg
This could be fixed by adding a slightly raised pad above the snare drum.

You spelled controller wrong, and the comma was not needed.
Anyway, it's cause they don't want to scare gamers. Plus, it still teaches you drums, so I'm okay with it. BTW, if we can use 5 frets for 126+ chords and notes on a guitar, why can't we do the same for drums? If you wanna play realistic drums, sit at your drum set, look up songs, and play it, since you are in fact a drummer.
