Why no PM?

I keep getting messages in my e-mail, saying I have received a message in my Rock Band inbox, then when I go to my Rock Band inbox, there is nothing there. This has happened numerous times. Anyone else getting this?

They are old "alerts". You've already viewed the PM the email is referring to. As a matter of fact I keep getting emails saying "so and so" has approved your friend request even though they've been on my list for a while now.

There's an issue with the server spitting out old alerts - trust me, i've had hundreds of two+ week old reported thread notices filling up my gmail box every 2 hours.
