I must be stupid; Drums plugged in, can't figure out how to use mic! (PS3)

I tried making the drums the #2 controller, but when i did that Rock Band told me to go back and put them in the #1 controller spot. Well I did that, but i can't figure out how to do anything on the mic. I wana go through the singing tutorial, but every time i try to do something new it automatically chooses the drums.

I know there must be something obvious that I'm missing. Could someone help get me on the mic please? Thanks in advance!

Never mind. It must've just taken my PS3 a second to recognize the mic being plugged in. Time to rock!!
