Rock Band Central Stability

Hello all,

Has Rock Band Central been down a lot recently for anyone else? This morning, while attempting to play Rock Band 2 (Xbox 360), the title screen couldn't even load their little welcome message. It just kept saying something along the lines of "Attemping to contact Rock Band Central..."

Yesterday Battle of the Bands was inaccessible at several points (wasn't connecting to RBC) and later outright hard locked my console (black screen) after finishing the Master Exploder challenge.

Of course, the game has also hard locked my console while loading the preview to Colbert's song and even during a drum trainer session, so maybe my box is getting Rock Band overload.

Still, locking aside, it seems RBC is up and down a lot of late?

For me too. It usually takes a couple of minutes (about one song played locally) before it makes the connection.

I had this problem last night, too. At first, trying to connect to BoTB it gave me an error saying I wasn't connected to Rock Central and that I should check to make sure I was connected to Live (I was, on the only controller that was connected). I exited back to the main menu and came back and it worked fine. Later last night, I went to another BoTB competition and my console hung at a black screen for a good 60 seconds before loading.

Just happened again. RBC was down (or at least I couldn't connect to it), so I figured I'd play a little local tour while I waited. Well, they must have rebooted the RBC server, because the game hard locked my console mid-song when it finally did connect (after rebooting, noticed RBC was online).

RBC stability should not affect game stability - that seems like a pretty big issue to me. At any rate, lesson learned: If RBC is down, disconnect from internet before playing even a local tour or risk freezes/locks.

Id say Rock Central was down cause they are trying it with the new website. Remember the new site is going to track RB2 info as well so they need to make sure it will pick it up right. So they would need to take it down while they where using it to test the new tracking on the new site :D:D

mine messed up on ps3 i never have trouble connecting to the rock band central server till today just like scores haven't been updating on the leaderboards that like 2 weeks ago bat coutry was suppose to come out on dlc i have everything but that song still havent seen it in the playstation store psn rdoy11
