Are you sure the lag is not somewhere in your audio setup? Describe it for us.

its possible then that the tv just has a terrible sound processor. an entire second of lag (an eternity where sound lag is concerned) is unforgivable. Try testing it out with different equipment, like a shelf audio system. Most of those have AUX inputs to hook up external devices. Try that out and let us know what happens.

there's an audio-calibration-system in Rock Band, I suggest you go there.

Actually it's a bug within the game. Disable the Dolby Digital output, and the delay will most likely go away. It worked for me as well as others in another thread. Also, the solo sections will be much more responsive. Hopefully Harmonix will address this issue in their next patch.

So now I can't use the Dolby Digital Output? Do you think this can be fixed by harmonix? Now when you say a patch how would you download such patch from HMX if you have the PS3?
