Since I have 165 downloaded songs last I checked, when my friends have had Rock Band parties in the past I have always been asked to bring my hard drive and use it on their Xbox 360. This always worked fine on original Rock Band as long as I was connected to Xbox Live and signed in as myself.
However, with all the reports people have been making about problems with DLC (problems I have seen myself, on games hosted on a friend's console), I'm suspecting that this will NOT work on RB2 as of right now. It SHOULD work, certainly, and hopefully will be patched, but does it work now?
I'm mostly asking for very practical reasons: such a party is happening on Friday. I guess I will probably end up hauling my Xbox over there as well just to be safe, but it would be nice to get some reassurance that I don't need to. In particular it would be nice if HMX would acknowledge the problem and, at least until a patch is available, state exactly what the extent and the parameters of the problem are.
