Wondering if anyone else was having problems with the drum kit. I have a problem I believe with the jack connection between the foot pedal and the drum pads, sometimes my kick pedal works and then sometimes it doesnt even when plug in correctly. Anyone else having this problem? Any ideas for fixes would ROCK!! thanks!

how've u tested it?

HMX have said that they have lowered the hit window so u have to be more accurate when playing, unlike GH3, 80's and to some extent GH2 where you can play a little sloppy.

I believe a review site also had a similar problem. Their solution was to tape the connection on. Not great, but better than nothing!

Just figure out a way to keep the connection as into the drum kit as possible (like tape ^ ). Sure it's a little ghetto, but you still get to rock out.

I have tried playing solo mode and practice mode with just the drum kit and it does work when I press the connection in really hard. Problem is that makes it difficult to play with both hands!! LOL! I will try taping the connection in nice and tight to see if that helps. Otherwise do you think at some point I could just get a new pedal? Not sure what Harmonix has for a problem like this.....

If you can't get it to work with tape:

I actually stretched the cord a little. The coils were really tight from packaging and were holding the pedal off the ground. I quickly unplugged it, pulled gently on either end of the cord to stretch it out so that there was no resistance.
