I say we just post the EA support page link for every complaint anyone has about periphs. It'll save us all time.

It's not even 7 in the morning here in cali yet....why dont they all get a bottle and there nice blankies and take a nap?

Anyways i could se ehow they might be mad becuase they laid down 170 for a game and the guitar doesnt work. But we dont need all these topics...cant they all migrate to one topic and make it easier for us?

Hell, I'm gonna investigate this "hot glue" strum button setup and see if I can't fix it myself. But *****ing on the Internet is not going to make your guitar magically start working.

Dude seriously, if my strat breaks I won't go off ranting. I'll wait like any smart person would do and see what's up. Once I find out if it can be fixed or not through software i'll either play drums or upstrum, no big deal. If I have to send it in for repair by EA so be it, I still have my xplorers to play with and a nice set of drums. Hell I even have a microphone to sing with. People just really find it necessary to find the bad in everything.

Wait... Seriously you just dropped $170 and it's cool if it breaks in a couple hours. No big deal, just play with the unbroken parts? Some people have a PS3 and can't play with another guitar. This is the kind of thinking that allows companies to release sub par products.

Yea, luckily I also could deal with a broken strat. I'll be quite upset if there is an issue with the drumset, but as of right now it doesn't seem many people are.

Just give the kids some time to vent. A lot of people are going to join demanding answers and quick-fixes that don't exist and they'll be riddled with frustration. We all knew it was coming; now is the time to make your moral choice: do you attack them - or try to help them? And you always have the option to just ignore...

As for myself, I won't be bothered with all of the nonsense, but the first time someone tries to add me as a friend and starts demanding help or something... well then I'll just flip out, realultimatepower-style.

I find it funny that you would expect these people to be calm after paying 170 dollars for something broken. Especially considering they knew the guitars were defective and told everyone not to worry "cuz the demos were just preproduction".

I don't think anyone cares if you're calm or not; it's more along the lines of they do not want to be bothered with your problems. Your questions would be more effective if pointed towards EA, not necessarily towards the forum public. If you expected an answer, you'd search on the forums before you posted the same "I'M-SO-MAD" topic.

It sounds like the same general problems that we're cropping up at Best Buy demo stations, but with the retail copies. Sad thing is, we can't accurately judge how widespread this it. Not everyone who has a working copy is going to come on the forums and say "IT WORKS" (since they are likely playing the game to death anyways). But anyone with a problem WILL come online and complain. So we're not really getting a representative sample of the failure rate.

If it was a gamestop/ebgames they more than likely have them already so you shouldn't have much to worry about.

As someone stated earlier, remember the theory of the vocal minority. More people are going to coming in screaming about a problem than people are going to come in screaming that everything is working fine.

I'm not saying there aren't problems, but there's no way to really gauge if these issues are widespread or isolated to a certain batch. Overall though, with that much hardware in one box, it's not surprising there's issues. Even if there's a 95% chance that a piece of hardware included in the box is completely functional, there's only a 77% chance that everything in the box is going to work.

Be upset, vent. But try to keep this all in perspective and not blow it out of proportion.

Nothing productive going on here. There is no need to have countless threads telling everyone to chill out and stop complaining. Then people just hijack your thread and complain about the complainers (or about you for starting the thread in the first place). Then you'll get threads complaining about the people who make threads complaining about the people complaining about the game. Then it just starts getting pointless and confusing.

There is plenty of productive posting going on, no need to flood the boards with these types of threads.
