Help me flame a friend who.. made a big mistake.

So, me and my buddies were all having a big plan about getting rock band today and playing it through the thanksgiving break.
Well, the guy who decided he'd pay for the hole thing, backed out, and bought Call of Duty 4.
Yes... over Rock Band.
He was too impatient to wait, he says.
So instead, we're getting it around Christmas.
I threatened to remove his balls from his body, which I'm still thinking about doing.


Please post your personal flaming opinions on here, so I can show it to him and make him feel like a pile of crap.

He didn't make a mistake. Call of Duty 4 is the best multiplayer shooter since Goldeneye on the N64. So he waits a little while to get Rock Band...it'll make his moocher friends appreciate him that much more.

Scarface, Battalion Wars 2, Mario Strikers, Mario Galaxy, WarioWare, and Fire Emblem for me right now. RE4 and Metroid Prime 3 are on my maybe list. I picked up some other crap I mildly regret, like Big Brain Academy and Mario Party 8, but I still bust them out from time to time.

It's not bad, it's just different.

I'm the friend that buys the good games and lets everyone play. I bought CoD4 for myself though. I also picked up Assassin's Creed. I'll be buying Mass Effect and RB today.

You know what? Your friend doesn't have to let you play, and he's actually kind of annoyed that you're always expecting this crap from him. Even if you offered to pay, unless you insist, it probably feels like you're doing it out of obligation, and not that you want to help.

You should be appreciative is all I'm saying. It's frustrating being the only one who ACTUALLY shares, and not just "makes the effort" like your offer to help.

I just don't think you should be a douche to him at all. You apparently don't even tolerate your own financial choices (with your Wii).

I'm not trying to be mean, I just don't like the disrespect it sounds like you are paying to your friend.

Your friend is probably sitting at home playing RB with 3 other friends, and told you he bought COD4 so you would quit bothering him. Now you're all alone. It's quite cold outside, isn't it.

Seriously, now that I'm older, I keep only 2 friends that I knew in High School. The majority of them were like you. Always wanting for themselves, and never contributing anything on their own. Always needing help from me, but when I would need help none of them were available to help out.

My professional opinion, if you want any friends later in life, respect them. It's GIVE and take.

Personally, I think friends are overrated.

Brady may be the MVP this year but the Colts are still the reigning Superbowl champs and have a legitimate chance at a repeat.
