Ok, from what ive heard the guitar in Rock Band has a really crappy strum bar that breaks very fast. If this is true, please tell me because i've still got a guitar hero one guitar that works after years of play, and i'm hoping my Rock Band guitar will do the same

im not sure what youre asking for here dude. Nobody here that i know of has a crystal ball that can tell you if the particular guitar that comes with a bundle you may or may not buy will be faulty. Theres plenty of complaining on the site so I would have to guess that there is a bunch of guitars out there that are ****.

Please for the love of God look in almost any one of these threads to find your answer.... Secondly, you can't use your Gh1 guitar, and not ALL strum bars are broke, it's just a few that have some problems.

Im asking the people who already got it so I can see the relative ratio of faulty guitars to good guitars. In other words Im asking the people who already got the game.

Problem is most people who are NOT having problem are probably not posting on this forum. Just hope for the best with yours.

You won't get a good sample from this forum. Anuyone on teh forum is eitehr at work or school waiting to go home and play. Anyone who has a working bundle and has no problems is likely playing the hell out of it right now and not posting.
Also please calm down these forums have been mostly a cordial place for RB and HMX fans to talk. RIght it's likely that some batch of guitar controllers are faulty. Nothing is known for sure and the only thing we do know is that EA is the one to talk to about faulty hardware not us.

everyone is tense today(it's an exciting day) some because they aren't playing yet(or haven't picked their bundle up yet). As usual sean or John or spraynwipe will come on give us a couple statements and answers and everything will quiet down. It's why I love these boards because the HMX guys never ignore us.

Played 3 players last night from midnight till 5AM Guitar worked like a charm. Curious there is no patch yet today though like they said, the DLC is up. I guess I'll just be glad mine works fine. :)

So at Wal-Mart the guitar was busted on the strummer. I thought it was just due to abuse, after buying it last night and a buddy buying it, we played it for a good 4 hours, then I noticed his guitar started doing the same thing, when I would strum it would double strum and wouldn't hold down chords... this happening with others? This is also with the xbox 360.
Cheers,
Chris

PLayed for 2 hours before coming to work.

It is the BEST guitar Ive ever played - its SO sensitive and responsive! I really think people are looking for a "click" and just mashing it. It CAN take a beating, but just not a severe one. I think if people focus more on hitting the outer point of the bar, and actually play it "picking style" it will last forever. It ties into the "realistic play" thing I think.

The strat feels excellent playing with a medium guitar pick. After reading about all these people finding problems with their strum bar after playing for a few hours, I think I'm going to make pick playing mandatory in my house. It's way gentler on the strum bar than mashing it down since the pick slides off before it reaches the very bottom of the strum range.
