As background, I am 35, grew up in the house with my brother's stages blaring all genres in the house and thus have appreciation for a wide range of music. As I recall, it ranged from Eagles, AC/DC, Metallica, Van Halen, Iron Maiden, Queen, Joe Walsh, The Guess Who, Mott the Hoople, Yngwie Malmsteen, Rough Cutt (LOL), Led Zeppelin, Soundgarden, Eminem, and I'm sure I'm missing a bunch.
In looking at the requests for Must haves (I have posted my own obscure bands so I'm not preaching - looking for truth), I have to be honest that I roll my eyes at odd band names that have come out within the last 5 years or so. That being said, I am not saying they are not good, or talented, or have the potential to be very influential on other bands and people in general. I just don't have the time to read through all the obscure bands and don't even bother. Honestly, when you see an odd band someone requests in this forum, what do you do?
