So yeah, I'm starting to experiment with Drop C tuning. I've already got the hang of a few songs such as Chop Suey, Aerials, Inside the Fire, The Bleeding, Tear Away... by various bands. But the things is that it's not that easy to find songs in this tuning.

So my question is: Does anyone know of (or recommend) any good songs to play/practice in Drop-C tuning?

this may be a cliche to some but try some Dethklok. the first song i learned in C, heck it was the first song i ever learned, was Go into the water great song for chord changing, and its chorus riff is beautiful with the right amount of loudness :P. I think there's also some static X but i think they are in Drop D

Off the top of my head, Map of the Problematique by Muse is in Drop C. Can't think of any others right now.

Alright, I'll try these out, thanks guys. but keep 'em coming :D

edit: Map of the Problematique is a weird tuning. the lowest string is tuned down to C, but the rest are tuned to E standard (ADGBe).
That Dethklok song was in C-Standard, but It's still semi-playable in Drop C, so I can try it out.

Yes, that is called Drop C. In dropped tunings, only the lowest string is tuned down. Tunings that adjust the other strings are not drop tunings.

Alright, well then I'm looking for the other Drop C (CGCFAD)

Right, Drop D's-full-step-down brother. Um... St. Anger?

This is the first time I've heard CADGBe being mentioned as drop-C tuning. I've always heard it mentioned as CGCFAD.
Drop D is just the E-string tuned down to D (DADGBe)
D-Standard is all the strings tuned down a whole step from E-Standard (DGCFAD)
C-Standard is two whole steps down from E-Standard (CFBbEbGC)
etc, etc.

I honestly have never seen (or heard) it any other way.

Well, the literal meaning of Drop C tuning is just E standard with the lowest string tuned down to C. Of course, people ****ed up the meaning, so Drop C now means Drop D down a whole step. I guess Drop D down a step gets hard to say.

Anyway, there's a whole list of artists who use both types of Drop C on this page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drop_C_tuning).

As I Lay Dying is all in Drop C.
Black Dahlia Murder plays in C Standard, but you are easily able to play it in Drop C. (just convert it in your head).
