They could have added all these new DL'able song to the game, or did they hold out to make some extra cash?!?

This has been discussed before. Perhaps they could have, perhaps not. Bottom line is, as long as you think the songs included on the disc are worth the game's price, then there's no reason to complain. There's a lot of reason to have DLC day 1, especially if a number of the DLC songs don't fit the exact mold of what they wanted on the disc or have limited customer appeal--you choose if you want it in the game.

1) There are more licensed tracks already on the disc than there were for GH2.
2) Licensed music costs HMX money to use. If they had included those songs on the disc, it would have likely increased the cost of the game.
3) This is the only case where I welcome DLC day 1. Because of the licensing costs, I don't blame HMX for putting those songs as DLC, and I welcome the opportunity to add to the library right off the bat.

Well, I guess you can keep adding stuff to the game disc constantly, but then it would never actually finish the game for release. There has to be some point where you say, ok we need to stop adding stuff to the game and ship it. Plus, adding each new song takes quite a lot of hard work and effort, it's not like they just had to copy/paste an .mp3 file onto the game disc. They go through every song and split up the tracks, muscian HMX personnel gotta create the note charts, animators pretty much have to do animations for every single song, especially keyframing the singer's mouth to be accurate. I don't know if you've done any keyframing before, but it takes a long ass time. If that was me, I'd want to be compensated for that work.
heh, anyway, that's what I thinks about it. No flaming required :D

As Ultrace suggests, this has been covered many times. Please use the search functionality before making a new thread.
