This are two really ****ing talented bands that should be in this game. They both have a number of songs that would work great with this game. I would ****ing die if they put in karma police and rebellion (lies). I want your opinions on what songs you think they should put in from these two bands?

I like both of them quite a bit actually. Hey do you know any adjectives that aren't "f***?" I don't want to have to turn the profanity filter on or start banning people for excessive swearing.

i think there'd be some irony value to having "anyone can play guitar" on the game..i think...well its a cool song anyway.

I was also trying (http://www.rockband.com/vbforum/showthread.php?t=676) to think of a good Arcade Fire song for the game.

Rebellion (Lies): Terrific song, and I would freak if it was in Rock Band. But does it work from the game standpoint?

I just fired it up for a listen. There's definitely enough going on with bass and vocals, but some of the parts that grab you most are keyboard and violin. When you perform in Rock Band, you want to play the hooks, not play supporting instruments while the hooks are played by the computer. And I don't know if the drum is interesting enough in this song to support gameplay.

Sean, I have a question. I'm not asking whether Arcade Fire or any other band is being included in the game, but I had a general licensing question.

When a band like Arcade Fire is self-published, does that make it easier or harder to enter into licensing negotiations? I'm sure there is some convenience to the 'one-stop shopping' approach of hitting a major label for access to a large number of acts, but I would also imaging that fewer corporate attorneys are involved when you talk to a small indie label.

You can't tell me not to say **** or ****. There are no rules against them. Then again we live in a free society don't we?

Yup, and Harmonix is free to ban you from their private message board if you're going to be rude and obnoxious. Are you 12 years old, and excited because you just learned to curse?
