Well I wanted to post this about 5 hours ago but Comcast decided to shut down all TV/Internet service for the day so I have to post it now.

I'm still waiting for UPS to deliver my PS3 Rockband Bundle, it's a little after 5pm here in New Jersey, and I took a ride to Best Buy in Brick, NJ just to see what was going on thier at about 11:30 AM this morning, I pull into the parking lot and see a lady w/ a RockBand Bundle on flatbed cart, and I was immediately shocked they had them still at that hour. I walk into Best Buy and sitting about 50 feet from the door is a MASSIVE stack of RockBand bundles for XBox 360, I counted about 54 pieces at the time I got thier, so ok, I don't have XBox 360, lets go take some inventory on how many thier are for PS3 left, I pass the XBox 360 bundles, I pass around 200+ Guitar Hero III PS2 Bundles, pass a stack of about 50 Guitar Hero III XBox 360 Bundles, pass around 20 PC Guitar Hero III Bundles, walk down the PS3 aisle and see NOTHING, No RockBand Bundle for PS3, No Guitar Hero III Bundle for PS3, nada, so the guy stocking PS3 games tells me they moved them to the Geek Squad area because they were running out of space w/ all the XBox 360 stuff they had in the main aisle. So I take a walk over to that section, NOTHING, I asked an employee if I was in the right spot and told him I just wanted to see how many PS3 Bundles were left for RockBand & also for Guitar Hero III, all he said to me was "uhh uhh whatever is in the main aisle, what are you looking for", I immediately said thanks and kept searching the store for a spot in which maybe they moved them too, NOTHING, I did stop and play the XBox 360 Version of Rockband, I did the drumb solo's to both BLACKHOLE SUN & SAY IT AINT SO, they had a ****ty pair of wooden RockBand stix to use and I ended up chipping the tip of one of em playing, and I wasn't even hitting the drumbs hard, lil tippy taps I swear...So after I finished playing I took a walk over to where the massive stack of RockBand bundles were and thier were 24 left, I took a picture w/ my iPhone which I will be posting on my myspace page, I then enjoyed just watching people's horrorfied reactions to when they walked into the store and saw the bundles for xbox 360, they couldn't get on their cell phone's fast enough to let whoever know they had em'...I ended up buying NOTHING today at Best Buy, I did look for a DVD which they didn't have but oh well, I can get that DVD anywhere online, all in all it was pretty funny watching people's faces light up when they see something they think won't be thier.

In closing i'd like to say, Guitar Hero III & RockBand Bundles for Sony Playstation 3 look like they are going to be harder then anything to find sitting around in a store.

When I went to target this morning the two guys that got in before me took the only two xbox 360 versions leaving the two for ps3 there so I had to go to best buy where they had two big stacks, one for xbox 360 and one for ps3. So maybe it was just that store that had no copies for the ps3.

that's strange .. I had the opposite happen to me this AM .. went to Walmart and bought the ONE XBOX360 they had on the shelf. Right below it were three PS3 versions.

Wal-Mart here had 4 PS3's out (they had a whole pallet of them waiting for Friday) and NO 360 versions, at all.

Target had 2 on the shelves when I got mine, and by 11am they had restocked and still had 2 on the shelf. I had no issue with getting mine.

if you see a lot of ps3s and no 360 versions, id bet it's because people already bought up the stock of 360 versions. it seems the majority of the places have a 2:1 or 3:1 or even greater ratio of 360:ps3 bundles.
i think it has to do with two things. they produced more 360 versions obviously because there are a lot more 360s in households. and second, the ps2 version will be using the same instruments as the ps3 version, so what could have been put to use for packaging more ps3 bundles had to be saved for the ps2 version which will likely sell really well for xmas too.

as for guitar hero 3, i still see a lot of those for ps2 and ps3, it seems like the 360 version is scarce. and if the les paul wont work with the ps3 rockband, i dont expect those gh3s to move off the shelf too well.
