It adds a ton of lag to mic and drum fills not to mention basic sync. they need to fix this on their next patch!

Thanks for the tip! It's been driving me absolutely insane.

Calibrate lag, practice a song and everything seemed fine (was going to the big ending on Mississippi Queen and the notes would play right when I did).

Then I would play and the fills would just be horribly off. Throwing off my entire groove.

Saw this post, turned off Dolby, and Blammo! Fills sound just fine.

thanks a ton!

I've got it on no problem. Running through both an LCD (hdmi) and a receiver (Optical). Didn't have to do ANY calibration at all. It was plug-and-play. (Xbox 360)

BTW, it's still awesome. We've been playing all day and a full band it t3h hawt!

I've got it enabled, using the optical out on PS3, sent to a receiver. No problems at all for me.

Thx for the corrections guys, guess it's only for certain PS3's. My firmware is 2.01. Does anyone with a PS3 that works well with Dolby have a different firmware? Some people are theorizing it is receivers but I thinks its console related.

Yeah you have the PS3 version..i heard some bad things about it....and i think SONY needs to get thier crap together. I feel sorry for the PS3 owners

ANYWAYS!!!
360 here, optical audio and 5.1 sounds awesome and mic works perfectly.

btw, i'm not on a ps3 but on a 360 using optical cable. So it's not a hardware specific issue.

Receiver was set to "auto surround", but I've found that when I set it to Pro Logic II, it works just fine. so apparently it's not just "dolby" that's causing the issue (as others have found it's working for them).

Some TVs (like DLPs) have a funky setup that can cause some lag issues with microphones. Try running through an alternate sound system, turning down your "Singer" volume in-game, or setting default TV settings. One of those might be able to help alleviate the problems you're experiencing.

I've had no problems with DD except for some reason I can't get the mic to work correctly at all its all over the place. I'll try it without just to see.
