Figures my luck, I get the broken drum set. The Yellow drum pad doesn't respond to anything. I tried pushing it in by hand a little and nothing. Even tried using my hand and still nothing.

It will work once in a while, but immediately stop after about 4 hits.

Of course gamestop isn't taking returns or exchanges, so I'm stuck waiting for it from EA. God knows how long that will take. I'll keep you posted though and let you know of the time, as I'm sure there are going to be issues.

Mine works intermittently, well ok it works a lot, but there are times I swear I've hit the red and yellow or the red and blue at the same time and it doesn't pick up that I've hit the yellow or the blue.

Unfortunately, it's not that simple. There's a sensor that's not lined up. I can get it to work somewhat if I pull the plastic up a bit. So I have some cardboard jamed in between the platic of the pad and the bottom part of that drum. I'm at about 50% now, so at least I can finish a song. Believe me, I messed with it for several hours trying to find a sweet sport, hit it soft, hit it hard as hell, hit it with my hands, etc. There's no trick..it's just a fault drum.

Returning it seems relatively painless though as they are sending me one express, but with holidays, I'll probably have to wait a while.

Same here. It's just a very tight window for hitting the note and/or not getting a direct hit.

Kinda sucks, but once I get used to the hardware I'm sure it'll improve.

I have teh same yellow pad problem. My story gets better as the up strum and up directional pad on the guitars don't work.

Now I wait...

This post needs to go to the technical support forum, not general.

Hey All!
I'd just like to let you all know that my pedal broke too. I then found a headphone jack splitter and hooked two bass drum peddles up to it. It solved my problem very fast. Now that I have two peddles, I don't have to kick as hard. WOOOT!!!!

It's great for songs like Highway Star and Danni California on Expert. I have a blast online with two peddles.

P.S. so you only have to request 2 extras from EA.

I had the same problem and fixed it. Look for my thread on this board...the whole pad is a "sensor" so it's not that. It's the fact that the plug that connects the pad to the tray has come loose and needs to be reconnected...I fixed mine last night that was having the same problem.

Yeah, it's a loose wire not registering, or registering at the wrong times.

Looks like there are a couple of different manufacturers of the drums, so the sensors are designed in different ways.

Here's the thread I used that helped me fix it:

Hope that helps!

yeah yellow pad is also unfortunately up sh*t creek. Even if I was able to fix it by voiding warranty, I would still want a better designed "finalized" instrument.
