PS3 guitar work with GH2/Rock the 80's?

so far, the PS3 version:

cannot use the GH3 Les Paul as a secondary controller


what else is wrong with the PS3 version? afaik, hardware problems aren't system-specific. EVERYONE is having the guitar/mic/drum issue. at least with the 60GB PS3, you know you don't have to worry about purchasing a USB hub w/ the game that might too be faulty unless you plug it in the back according to some sources.

I never picked up the PS2 (was a XBOX fanboy)...but when the PS3 came out I got it for various reasons, backwards PS2 games was going to be a bonus.

So....any rumors on a fix (download, update etc)?

One should be able to think that between the companies involved there should be a way to get the PS3 to play GH2/Rock 80's.

I was really hoping Rock Band's Fender would have been the solution.

With all the problems I've seen for the PS3 today, the 360 version seems to be the way to go.
