The first time I played Rock Band was at a friends dorm were a bunch of people with no connection other then their appeal for music were drawn together and it was there that we jammed and bash and screamed till we could not play any more. This was a life changing experience for me cause I became friends with a cool bunch of guys that ill never forget.
It was also here that I became locked in to the greatest game I have ever played. Rock Band was the very first game that I became officially addicted to. I love Rock but not any type of rock, just rock in general. Rock Band has some really great rock to but I always felt they could have pulled from so many more bands.
With Rock Band 2, many of the bands I loved were finally making their debut on the best music system I have ever used. Yet even with just a huge compiling of bands from rock band 1 rock band 2 and the DLC, there is still a number of bands I feel really have made an impression in the world of rock bands that seem should have been on rock band since day one. Sadly I am sure these bands have not made their release to the music game market for many reason including the fact that these bands are already super popular and don’t need a game to sell there music.
For what ever reason though, I feel that these ten bands would not only be awesome to play but they are also very unlikely to ever make there way to the platform. I only hope Harmonixs can prove me wrong.
1-10 (10 being most likely and 1 being less likely.)
Starting at #10 is Match Box Twenty-though not all their songs would be Rock band matrial, “How Far we’ve Come” would just make the whole party start hopping.
#9 is Night Wish- The reason this band is #9 is because I believe there is a actually good possibilities that we could see some Night Wish DLC very soon. After Lacuna Coil made it to Rock Band 2, I see Night Wish with a better shot. One distinction should made that Night wish with its Original Female singer was by far much better.
#8 goes to Yellow Card- this band has really grown in popularities as more and more people find there simple but catchy melodies very appealing.
#7 Cold Play- This band is one of my favs and the idea of playing one of their songs would make me the happiest men in the world, but how they would make the guitar track challenging would be something to see. Still, as DLC there is a possibility we could see cold play since guitar hero has cold play DLC.
#6 Cranberries- This band is a Classic, what else can I say. Put it on Rock Band.
#5 Beatles- Although the idea of Beatles coming to Rock band seems pretty far out there, the Beatles come in at #5 (and not like #1) is cause there are actually talks about the Beatles making a debut on a music game platform from the media. So I am left to believe that we could see Beatles some day.
#4 Switch Foot- This band is all around solid and amazing. Being one of the best bands to hold a Christian outlook but reach the tops of the charts, I can say this band would be great to play. The Chances are slim.
#3 Semisonic- This band is a personal favorite and their is sound is amazing. I just don’t think there are enough Rock Band Plays that will want there music. ( I hope I am wrong)
#2 Queen- how can you have the 80’s with out Queen, but some how they do cause Queen has not been on any music game (not even guitar hero rock the 80’s).
#1 Green Day- I know not every one likes green day, but there songs scream Rock Band. They have great beats and awesome melodies. They are just one of those bands that don’t seem to want there content on these music games. If they ever did make it Rock Band I would be blown away.
There you have it. Also on a side note. Although they are already on Rock Band, I cant be the only person that wants more “Killers” and “Blink 182”
