View Full Version : How can I return my RockBand Special Edition PS3?

The box grossly mistates that it is compatible with other guitars. Considering there is only ONE other guitar for PS3 , and it doesn't work with it ; This is false advertising! Most game stores will not let you return your package once it's opened, so now I'm stuck with a $182 mistake!

I bought mine from Gamerush and they were extremely unfriendly about it. They are adamant about not taking it as a return nor even an exchange for the Xbox360 version.

If anyone has any consumerist law knowledge or ideas to protect the consumer, please letme know. Will be reporting to state attorney general as well as BBB for misrepresentation, bait and switch, and false advertising.

I really wouldn't complain. We don't even get the game for another month.

I just posted a message about my experience with Gamestop (see thread: "Gamestop: Will replace PS3 Rock Band..."). Started off kind of like yours, but eventually I was able to explain the situation and convince them to do something about it.

Unfortunately, beyond what I wrote there and you've already tried I'm not sure what you could do. Ask to speak to a district representative. Be sure to get the name of the employee that you spoke to. If you give them a lot of business, make sure they know.

I'd still recommend giving Harmonix a day or two to come out with a formal announcement. I'm sure they know that this is impacting their reputation and I'm sure they'll come through with at least that much (even if it's just to confirm that this isn't a priority for them and won't be fixed).
