View Full Version : If people have equipment problems, why waste time contacting EA?

I mean, if you have a guitar, drumkit or microphone that truly is defective, why waste time sending it back to EA? Why not just take it the bundle and receipt back to the store where it was originally purchased. It would be a heck of a lot quicker than sending it out, the waiting weeks before you get it back. Even thought the Rock Band bundle is still in high demand, the vast majority of retail stores will give one time rain checks so that when more come in, you get yours replaced ASAP. I know for a fact that's what Wal-Mart will do.
Just my $0.02.

But then you'll just get another peripheral that will probably break a few hours later.

Because then some poor sap will buy the used version with your broken peripherals and have the same problem, "Should I take it back or send it to EA..?"

Umm, no? Why would a retail store put the returned defective merchandise back out on the shelf? Oh that's right, they wouldn't.

Once I opened the box for my bundle I was greeted with a paper that said not to return the bundle in case of defects. Something along the lines of the store not taking back the items and to just contact EA support.

Because, the store I got it at is sold out.

Yeah taking it back to the store is a bad idea because A) chances are they are sold out or B) chances are you will get a bundle from the same production run, which is likely to have the same problem.
Plus as long as you can give EA a credit card number (for insurance on their part), they 2nd day air the replacement to you, and then you send the broken thing back. It's completely free as long as you send the old one back.
