So I bought the new RB2 guitar after reading so many positive reviews about it and I got it home opened it up and the first thing I noticed was that it sounds like something is broken inside.. like a spring or something (might be the problem im gonna try to explain), and then I start playing with the strum bar and realize there is absolutly NO feel to the strum bar at all, its way too easy to move.. It works, but even compared to the RB1 guitar it has no feel.. For others who bought this guitar, is this normal, or did I get a defective guitar?

Well, I have come to the complete conclusion I just got a defective guitar as my strum bar will after hitting it down once will go down about 10 songs on the list before stopping...

By no feel i mean, its really really easy to move up and down, no resistance at all.

I got exactly the same issue. No "clicking" on strum bar, and it's really hard to him fast notes. Is this one defective or is it a feature?

thanks

First of all, bumping such an old thread can lead to banning. Don't do it. Second of all, the no clicking on the strum bar is one of the best features of the Rock Band 2 guitar.

I had the same thing with my RB2 guitar after using it for a little over a month. Something was rattling inside. It still worked well for about two month and then suddenly I could barely downstrum. I opened it up and a peice of the plastic contact on the strum bar had broken off and thus there was barely any contact whatsoever.

However, I would STILL get another RB2 guitar - I loved it. I just chalk this up to bad luck...

It sounds like something has come loose and is rattling around inside the controller, yeah, that's the first thing I thought too when I got the RB2 strat, but that's actually just the motion sensor.

I don't like how loose the strummer feels either (it's like that on all of them.) It's quiet compared to the original GH style strummers, I have to give it that, and the shape lends itself well to alt-strumming. But if only it had a bit more spring to it like the MadCatz bass.

I just got a RB2 wireless guitar. My strum bar seems to be doing the same thing Chuggle was describing, and according to Blackjack this is normal? Can anyone verify this?

The wired Rock Band controller has resistance when moving the strum bar and it returns to a central location without any effort. But with the wireless RB2 controller it seems to travel around with absolutely no resistance, and then only a slight bit of resistance is noticed when the strum is engaged. It sometimes doesn't even feel like I am really strumming.

So is this normal? I really have no way of knowing.
