Sounds like an under/overscan issue. Do you have settings for that on your TV?
Nope, don't have any settings for anything like that.

I've got a 36" 4:3 Panasonic HDTV (running 1080i)... same thing... The Rock Meter is 50% lost in the overscan. :(

Doesn't your tv have an option to adjust the screen? Like my TV has an option to move it vertically, horizontally, etc.

I think these guys all have 4:3 TVs instead of the 16:9 widescreens. I am not near my 360 right now, but isn't there a setting somewhere in the 360 itself to indicate if the tv is widescreen or not? That might be the problem.

That sounds like a zoom setting problem on your TV. With nearly all LCD 16:9 (widescreen) TVs you can change the zoom level on your TV (usually via the remote) to compensate if you are watching programs that are broadcast in hi-def and/or letterbox. Your older TV might not be correctly auto-adjusting for the game. Have you tried tweaking your zoom level, and do you notice any clipping in any other games or movies you have tried on your 360 since noticing this problem?

Go through the manual calibrate mode under settings, it asks you if you would like to change the screen size.

My problem is not an aspect ratio one. It's just the unfortunate reality of overscan. Unless I want to run this in standard definition, I'm a bit out of luck. Oh well, good thing the icons are on the right!

No, that's for syncing the audio with the video.

Yeh. I got a mildy new (maybe 2-3 years old) Samsung HDTV, and am running the game in 1080i. Guess what. Can't see the rock meter, too far off to the left and I can only see just a little thing poking out from the side of it. This is a huge problem for me and there is absolutely nothing I can do about it, so is there anything being done about it?

When it's running in any hdtv settings my tv does not allow me to changes any options like zoom or etc. only ones it allows me to do is go from 4:3 to 16:9, going to 4:3 does not show any more of the screen then 16:9 does, it just will squish it. The only way this can be fixed for some of us is by a patch.

Alright I changed my settings to 480p and widescreen and I can see it now. Still, anyone with a widescreen tv should know that the sides of the video almost always get cut off to a point, and I don't see why this wasn't fixed.

Had this problem prior to getting my projection system. You have to go into the maintenance section for the TV and adjust the picture as it is not properly adjusting it. Not sure what the code is but you should be able to look up the maintenance code online, enter it and it will allow you to change alot of locked settings on the system. I also have the same problem with my projection system but it has menu commands directly accessible to change the settings.

I have a 42" 1080p widescreen and nothing ever gets cut off. I believe that may be a problem with your particular television, but it certainly doesn't apply to all of them.
