Guitar cuts out

I'm only having this problem in Rock Band 2, the guitar track seems to cut out randomly during songs. Everything else will keep playing. Sometimes it comes back in after a couple of seconds with a "POP" noise or I have to press pause to bring it back.

What gives?

Are you using the new STRAT? Mine does this as well your playing along and the guitar is still on but it's just not hitting any of the notes. I seen a video on youtube of a guys drums that do the same thing.

Had what was described in the OP happen on my wiresless strat that I bought today. Happened in practice mode playing GGaHT.

Never happened before today. Played with an xplorer till today.

This happened to me last night while playing with my RB2 Strat. My 360 is connected via HDMI so it's not a loose cable issue. I was about 1/3rd of the way through the song and the guitar part got real quiet for about 1-2 notes and then went away altogether. I was still getting sound through all of my speakers, just no guitar part. About 20 seconds later there was a loud POP noise through all of my speakers and the guitar part was back. I was playing Under the Bridge from the new RHCP DLC.

It's not like the video with the drums. I could still hit all of the notes just fine, I just had no guitar track at all.

It's only happened to me once in probably 20+ hours of playing with my RB2 Strat, and I have no idea how to duplicate it.

I've had the guitar sound cut out on both Rock Band 1 and 2 so that not a real issue with me. But having the buttons not work at all is. With a little more playing today I finally figured out the problem the downstrum on my STRAT is failing me, but upstrums works. So I guessed I'll have to get it replaced.
