Not sure if many of you have heard of them (some might have, because their music video for Typical got a grammy nominee), but there's a band called Mute Math who have an incredible drummer. Fresh beats galore. They're like a mix between DJ Shadow and The Police.
They've been on Letterman/Conan/others and have been featured on Mtv and have been a "You Here It First" band, so I know MTV and some people at Harmonix should be somewhat familiar with them.

This is their first single, Typical. Definately their most radio friendly song, but the song I'd LOVE to see for DLC is "Break The Same". The pure genius of the song is worthy of DLC, trust me. Youtube a live performance of it.
Their drummer is phenominal and bass guitarist is silky smooth. Their guitarist is average, but that's not enough to stop me from endorsing this band for DLC.
