On the manual paper, it says you can use the jack adapter to plug in the headset to the drums or guitar to use as your mic. I see the hole for the drums, but not the guitar.
Also, how do you activate the headset-mic without a controller?

If you're right handed and wearing the guiter, you will put your hand on it if you rest you hand on top of the guitar. it's on the edge of the body where the seam is.

on the back edge of the guitar where you hook up the strap, look about 4" above it on the same edge, and you'll see a little hole. That's where you plug in the headset adapter then the headset.
The guitar controller controls the headset.
The mic needs a regular xbox controller to work (headset), which you can plug in the headset to it. Hold either left or right trigger to talk I think (haven't tried it myself yet)
