View Full Version : my headset and mic dont work during online play, please help!

When I play on line with others my mic doesnt work, any ideas why?

1. When I play solo both my mic and my headset work. I tried unplugging the mic and just using the headset but no luck.

2. I have a rockband 1 guitar (white an black) I dont see any conection to plug into the guitar.

3. I cant remember if it worked for rock band 1?????

Hopefully someone can help me, its frustrating not to be able to chat during online play, thanks!!!!

what system?

for the xbox 360
the mic you need to press the left trigger or right trigger during a song.

for the guitar xbox 360
there is a little adaptor that came with the guitar (at least for the special edition) that you use to plug the headset into.

I have an xbox 360. Ok I will try hitting the trigger buttons. I have the rockband 1 guitar, the black and white one, I dont see any connection for the mic on it :(

the mic is for the singer which you plug into the usb on the xbox 360

and there was a little adaptor which you plug the headset into and it plugs into the usb

I dont think I have that adapter....unless that came with the original xbox and not the rockband game, I'll have to check that out.

assuming you bought the special edition and its a wired strat it a small black adaptor cord not sure if the wireless guitar has one

still not working so frustrating!!!! I can hear others in my headset, but I cant hear me and they cant hear me either :( :(

I went back and played solo with guitar and mic and the mic is definately working.

I dont know what to do :(

I have pretty much the same problem. I was playing RB2 WT online with other people (me playing the RB1 strat), and I couldn't talk to them. I had the little black cord hooked up to my XBL headset, but it seemed like it didn't have a connection to the controller/system. I had received a voice message, but couldn't hear it. Nor could I talk to my bandmates. Sucks having to quick write a message to the leader between songs.
