How do you change your name?

I created a character named "Butch" and have been told by the game about 100 times that my name "isn't very classy" and won't be displayed on the Rock Band website until I change it.

First of all, why in the WORLD is "Butch" not ok? And how do I change it? I've looked everywhere and can't find anything... Please help!

Your not alone, I get the same message and my name is Dani.

I guess "Dani" is too objectionable for xboxlive, Dani !!! I can't even imagine why the game considers this name offensive. (especially considering its in one of the song titles)

Anyone else not able to use their completely non-offensive names? I wish there could be a fix for this but I'm sure Harmonix has more important things on their plate right now.

Go figure. My character's name is "piss" and it doesn't seem to mind that.

We had the same problem with the name "Fabian Sly." I have no idea how this is offensive. Any ideas?

does the name only show up on the website if it is played on ps3 or xbox360? it doesnt show up on the website for ps2 does it?
