That is until my surround system gave up on me. Yeah, the darn thing just turned itself off while I was using it and never turned back on. Good thing I bought an extended warranty for it. It's being repaired, but I have been playing surround soundless for the past couple of days, and playing RB with just my TV speakers sounds like sh*t! For people who don't have a sound system, How can live like that!?!?!:p

Btw, you don't have to buy an expensive surround system, there are some out there that are pretty cheap but will certanly sound better that your TV speakers. I like to play RB really loud, to listen to the music, the bass, everything....I don't know, maybe it's just me.

Do you know of any relatively cheap surround sound emulators...like the ones that only have one speaker? Our living room is configured so that it would be just about impossible to have more than one central speaker.

Weird... For me it sounds crappier if I put surround sound on. But then again, I have no surround sound system. Just on my tv. Whenever I put it on, it like echoes... Weird.

Yep, TV sucks. I've just got my Xbox hooked up to a 2.1 stereo, but it's lightyears better than the TV.

Yeah, I love cranking it up in 5.1! It's especially cool hearing the crowd singing from the rears!

Unfortunately the sound's the best thing in my rig at the moment, since my Sony HD projector is dying a slow death due to a faulty fan design. So now I have all these blue splotchy areas on my screen. :(

You know, I was originally going to go with a Panasonic. I was following their PJs ever since the AE100 back in the day. But a ton of people convinced me that the Sony was worth the extra coin. Of course they didn't know then that the thing would only last 2.5 years, so I can't curse them too loudly.

Looks like I'm stuck with Sony for a bit, since the only solution they have for my scenario is to give you free credit to use on SonyStyle.com. In that case I'm going to try out an SXRD projo and cross my fingers. If that one dies though I'm definitely going to jump ship.
